Catch the Vision & Dream With Us
Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it. (1 Chronicles 28:10)
Dear friend and co-laborer:
If you have sat under this ministry or share in our radio broadcast, then certainly you know that we do not ascribe to the chicken dinner, bingo game, and bake sale mentality to get people to give. We personally believe when people are apprised with the facts, without the use of schemes, gimmicks and tricks, they are capable of making an informed decision.
As you know, we have been for the past 13 years holding our Sunday Services, Thursday evening bible study, tutoring and ministerial internship classes at a local high school.
While the Lord has blessed us in this location, we have begun to experience the strain and are limited in the number of hours and days to which we have access to this building. With the vast number of ministries and outreach at work in this church, we believe by the unction of the Holy Spirit,
that it is time for us to have a permanent location. God’s desire and instruction to me is to seek your prayers, help and financial assistance towards our building fund drive.
Through our architect we have concluded that we need a minimum of 10 acres
suitable for the vision God has given us for a Sanctuary.
Phase I construction of the fellowship hall is estimated to cost between 4 and 6
million dollars. The development and construction of the Sanctuary and
fellowship hall will cost between 8 and 11 million dollars. Since the inception of our building fund campaign we have
purchased and settled on a 14 acre tract of land located in Fort Washington MD,
which we own free and clear!!!!
To date we have raised a little over $700,000.00 towards construction. This is not a lot of money when considering the cost of
land development and the construction of a sanctuary in the Washington Metropolitan area, but God has spoken to us over and over, not to despise the day of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10).
Through Bond issues (in which you may like to participate) and other lending
sources our loan capacity is $3.3million which leaves $1.7 million to raise, through perhaps a second bond issue, pledges, gifts and donations from members and friends of this ministry
in order to accomplish Phase I. We are excited about the generosity of those who
share in our burden to expose the thief among us and to bring salvation to a
lost and dying world. Our belief is that God will continue to touch the hearts of men and women
like yourself concerning this ministry, thus our intent is to obey, for with God nothing is impossible.
As you read this letter, it is our hope that God will indeed move on your heart
and compel you to get involved, and know the Tree of Life Christian Ministries by the Spirit. Our intentions and steps are pure, and ordered of the Lord. Our hearts actually burn with an indescribable desire to build a house that God can
be pleased with, place his name (2 Sam 7:13-17), establish his covenants, and fulfill his will without delay.
We hope you will consider us in your prayers and partner with us through financial support in our goal to build a sanctuary in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Yours in Christ,
James J. Robinson, Pastor
